Chef Hadrien Villedieu will be behind the menu, which celebrates his roots and travels.

Chez Wam is bringing some chic to the city. The French restaurant is coming to Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, and it will be located at The St. Regis Gardens on the rooftop of Nakheel Mall. Since the critically-acclaimed hospitality company, Rikas Group, is behind the opening, we’re expecting exciting things.

Chez Wam means “at mine” in French, and can refer to visiting someone’s place. Drawing inspiration from the phrase, the restaurant aims to make diners feel like they’ve been invited to a friend’s home for food. So, we’re expecting a casual, chilled atmosphere.

Chef Hadrien Villedieu will be at the helm of Chez Wam. He has previously worked with restaurant greats including Alain Passard, Jean Pierre Vigato and Joël Robuchon. So far, we know that the menu will celebrate French cuisine, and pay tribute to the chef’s roots as well as his travels.

Chez Wam’s décor boasts a chef’s table and open kitchen, and tables big enough for groups. Plus, the French theme is bought to life through the soundtrack – think vinyl records playing French songs.

Rikas Group is behind hospitality hits that include, La Cantine Du Faubourg, La Twiggy by La Cantine, Mimi Kakushi, and the recently opened Tagomago. Founded almost a decade ago in Dubai, it has award-winning concepts. Plus, Chez Wam will have some upmarket neighbours, as Nakheel Mall is also home to Trèsind Studio and Soho Garden.

The opening date for Chez Wam has not yet been confirmed, but check in with FACT for the latest information.
