Early bird tickets to Middle East Film & Comic Con are now on sale

The 2024 edition of Middle East Film & Comic Con will take place in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 11 February, 2024.

Dust off your superhero cape, and listen up — early bird tickets are now on sale for the 12th edition of the region’s largest pop culture festival, Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC). Organised by Informa Connect, the hugely anticipated event will return to the capital from 9 to 11 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and a limited number of early bird tickets are being released as we speak. Bonus: savings of up to 40 per cent off door prices are up for grabs.

MEFCC has also announced the first celebrity guest for the 2024 edition. Fans will be able to meet Troy Baker, the American voice actor and musician best known for his role in gaming titles as Joel in The Last of Us, Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII, and Jonesy in Fortnite. He’s also one of the only talents who has voiced both the Joker and Batman. Baker’s status as a legendary voice actor showcases diversity with not only gaming titles, but also a number of anime characters — Baki from Baki Hanma and both Yamato and Pain from Naruto Shippuden included.

Looking for an excuse to dress like your favourite character? There’s good news for you, too. Registrations for the Cosplay Competition have also opened, so devoted cosplayers can plan ahead and register to participate in one of the four categories. Each has been thought through with the cosplay community to amplify the experience at MEFCC and create a spectacular set for fans. Cosplayers in the UAE can take on the world by entering the World Cosplay Summit Preliminaries, with a chance to travel to Japan to represent the UAE at the World Cosplay Summit finals in Nagoya.

MEFCC will also host three cosplay categories at the 2024 edition: Best Craftsmanship, Best Performance on Stage (with a prize pool of AED 35,000 up for grabs), and Best Kids Cosplay. Targeting thousands of visitors from across the Middle East and beyond, MEFCC is now one of the most talked about events in the region, bringing together fandoms across TV, film, sci-fi, anime, manga, comics and collectables under one roof.

Tickets are available now via Platinumlist and start from AED 120.
