The modern Mediterranean lounge opens in January.
ZEA is set to arrive in Dubai this January, introducing a modern Mediterranean lounge and dining concept within Emirates Financial Towers. The venue takes its name from the ancient grain of life revered across the Mediterranean, and translates that symbol of nourishment, abundance, and renewal into a refined contemporary setting.
ZEA’s philosophy is rooted in quiet luxury and elemental beauty. Guests enter through curved stone arches into an interior shaped by deep olive tones, warm golden light, and sculptural forms that are softened by lush Mediterranean greenery. The space is designed as a sanctuary from the pace of the city, with a sophisticated yet welcoming layout that works for both intimate dinners and late-night gatherings.

As day turns to night, ZEA Dubai moves through its own kind of ritual. The lighting deepens, shadows become more pronounced, and the music programme builds in rhythm and texture, shifting the mood from calm to more expressive. The venue is designed to glow and unfold gradually, always atmospheric and magnetic rather than overwhelming.
In the kitchen, Head Chef Donoven Clive Christian leads a culinary programme that celebrates the purity and generosity of Mediterranean coastal cooking. The menu focuses on clean flavours, high-quality produce, and refined fire-driven techniques that enhance rather than overpower the ingredients.

Guests can expect a progression of bright, polished starters, including delicate seafood preparations and Mediterranean ceviches with subtle Peruvian accents. Warm plates spotlight fire-kissed seafood and elevated Mediterranean comfort dishes, while signature mains bring together premium proteins, expressive sauces, and handcrafted pastas with bold yet balanced flavours.
The beverage programme at ZEAM Dubai mirrors its food philosophy, focusing on freshness and elegance. Cocktails showcase Mediterranean herbs, aromatics, and citrus, layered with understated Peruvian influences for added depth and character. The wine list leans into Old World terroir, with thoughtful selections from France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Lebanon, and coastal North Africa. Refined whites, structured reds, elegant rosés, and a curated champagne selection are all designed to complement both the menu and the evolving mood of the space.
