Will Smith and MrBeast have already given their approval. Now the British TikTok duo are setting up at Yas Marina Circuit for the 2025 season finale.
If you have a ticket to the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, prepare to join the queue. SpudBros, the British street-food sensation turned social media phenomenon, is making its UAE debut at Yas Marina Circuit for the race weekend. Announced on their official channels with the caption, “What a moment… we’re taking the tram to Abu Dhabi for the F1 Grand Prix”, the pop-up brings the duo’s trademark jacket potatoes to one of the biggest weekends on the UAE calendar.
Founded by brothers Jacob and Harley Nelson, SpudBros built a loyal following by filming the simple pleasure of a hot, fluffy potato split open and packed with generous fillings. The clips struck a chord for their warmth as much as the food, with the brothers’ easy charm and habit of surprising customers with freebies helping them stand out. Celebrity shout-outs have followed, including nods from Will Smith and MrBeast, and the queues have only grown longer.
The SpudBros Abu Dhabi pop-up will channel the original van’s spirit with a concise menu of loaded classics. Expect cheese and beans, tuna with sweetcorn, and garlic chilli chicken layered over crisp-skinned potatoes brushed with butter. Customise your spud with add-ons like garlic butter, chilli garlic oil, bacon, crispy onions and coleslaw, then finish with the signature Tram Sauce. Portions are hearty, prices are accessible, and the service is all smiles.
SpudBros’ rise has been rapid. The duo now has more than one million Instagram followers and operates two permanent UK sites on Archer Street in Soho, London, and Queen Square, Liverpool. At both locations, opening time usually means a line, with waits often stretching beyond 30 minutes during busy periods.
Exact placement for SpudBros Abu Dhabi within the circuit is still to be announced, so plan to scout the fan zones and arrive hungry. If you spot that van, join the line. The payoff is a steaming, saucy spud that lives up to the hype.
