The restaurant has found a permanent address at The Abu Dhabi EDITION.
3Fils has become a Dubai institution. The homegrown restaurant offers a stylish harbourfront dining experience, and while its name relates to a minimal denomination of the UAE currency, the flavours are anything but small. The acclaimed eatery, currently ranked fourteenth in the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants, is heading to the capital.
The expansion of the 3Fils brand sees the concept find a new home at The Abu Dhabi EDITION. 3Fils Abu Dhabi takes over the space formerly occupied by the nightclub ANNEX and spans three levels, featuring two terraces. The al fresco dining areas overlook Al Bateen Marina, offering the perfect setting to enjoy 3Fils’ modern Asian cuisine.
“There will be a few items that are different, but everything else stays the same”, says Ahmed Abdul Hakim, Founder of 3Fils. “The core, the values, the obsession with turning complexity into something simple and delicious, that never changes. The design might feel different, reflecting the natural growth of the brand, but it’s still 3Fils. Nothing changed.”
From the open kitchen, Head Chef Jhovani remains faithful to the original formula of bold, umami-rich flavours and technically polished plates. 3Fils’ signature dishes are present, but the Abu Dhabi menu brings with it a few exclusives. The Grilled Black Lime Baby Chicken and A5 Wagyu Claypot offer rich new textures without losing the approachable charm the brand is known for. Fans of the Dubai original will be pleased to hear that the Specials board returns, featuring monthly creations exclusive to the capital.

As ever, desserts are no afterthought. The Coconut Raspberry is a tart, textured triumph, while the Vanilla Flan with nitro-snow and edible flowers adds theatrical flair. But it’s the Take Me To The Moon, a frozen chocolate aero with hazelnut crunch and salted caramel, that truly steals the show.
Before securing its permanent address in the capital, 3Fils had a successful pop-up in Abu Dhabi back in 2023. 3Fils — along with BRIX cafe — participated in a three-month dining collaboration at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara. The restaurant also runs its ramen outpost as SLRP Ramen by 3Fils in Yas Mall.
As for 3Fils in Dubai, it has built quite a reputation for itself, snagging the top spot in MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2022, followed by a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand in 2023. The restaurant also teamed up with the FACT award-winning Rascal’s Deli for an Eid collaboration
