The Hips Don’t Lie singer will be heading to the UAE sooner than you think.

It’s time to shake those hips. Columbian superstar Shakira is all set to make her way to Abu Dhabi as part of the Offlimits Music Festival.

Shakira is announced as the main act of Offlimits Music Festival in Abu Dhabi. Taking place on 4 April, you can expect her to get the crowd at Etihad Park in full dance mode, making this concert one not to miss.

For those unversed, Shakira hails from Barranquilla, Colombia. She is of Spanish and Lebanese descent, and released her first album at 13 years of age. She is best known for her songs Beautiful Liar, Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) and Whenever, Wherever.

Over her career, she has established herself as one of the world’s biggest Latin music stars. She has sold more than 95 million records and won three Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Shakira is no stranger to performing on the world stage. She performed at the ceremony for the 2006 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, and at the 2020 Super Bowl LIV halftime show with Jennifer Lopez.

This is not Shakira’s first gig in the UAE. She first performed in Dubai back in 2007, followed by another show in Abu Dhabi in 2008 and then again in 2011. Her upcoming concert as part of Offlimits Music Festival marks her much-awaited return to the UAE after 15 years.

For those unversed, Offlimits Music Festival is the first-ever open-format music festival in the UAE. It debuted in 2025 and, after a successful run, is heading back to Abu Dhabi. The one-day festival features multiple stages across the venue, including a main stage where the biggest acts perform.

Last year’s headlining act saw Ed Sheeran take to the OFFLIMITS Music Festival stage. Other artists included One Republic, ARTBAT, Faithless, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Kaiser Chiefs, and Zeyne.

Tickets to see Shakira at the Offlimits Music Festival are not on sale yet, but you can pre-register. This means that once they go on sale, you’ll be the first to get them. And with Shakira’s return to the UAE after more than a decade, this show is guaranteed to sell out, so don’t wait too long.
