Afrobiano Fest is returning to Abu Dhabi, UAE. Taking place on 1 November at Yas Beach, it celebrates Afrobeat and Amapiano culture. The full line-up has not yet been announced, but here’s what we do know.
Afrobiano Fest returns for its third season in the UAE, and brings fun, food and plenty of music to the beach. This festival promises to be a celebration of Afrobeats and Amapiano musical genres, set against the stunning backdrop of the sea.
On Instagram, Afrobiano Fest shared an animated video with a palm tree and people dancing. The caption reads: “The hottest news for tonight: Afrobiano Festival Season 3 is coming soon! Stay tuned for more details.”
For those unfamiliar with Afrobeats and Amapiano, these are two musical genres that originate from Africa. Afrobeats features a blend of traditional African rhythms with a dash of jazz and funk, while Amapiano combines soulful piano melodies with deep basslines.
Afrobiano Fest in Abu Dhabi has a reputation for showcasing incredible talent from around the world. Previous highlights have included performances from S.N.E., known for hits such as “Hold Me Down” and “Tshwala Bam,” as well as DJ Karri, Ntosh Gazi, Phantom, and Rexus.
It’s not just about the music. Visitors can also enjoy African food and drink from street food stalls, along with immersive art exhibitions and pop-up shops.
