Monday 1 August 2022

Keep the kids busy at a summer camp

School’s out, but summer camps are in. At Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island Ras Al Khaimah, there are plenty of ways to keep the kids entertained. Children between the ages of four to 12 years old can join baking classes, dance workshops and water sports. The events take place daily from 9am to 6pm and the camp runs until the end of August. The camp’s prices start from AED 80 for one day and AED 399 for one week.

Tuck into a new business lunch

Homegrown Indian eatery Mohalla now offers an affordable two or three-course business lunch menu. The casual dining venue offers some of its signature Indian dishes for guests to enjoy in 30 minutes or less, including shami kebab slider, crispy bhutta (fried corn) or a savoury 1965 buhari (Mohalla’s version of the classic chicken 65). For the main course, guests can tuck into paneer butter masala, dabba egg curry, chicken tikka biryani, butter chicken or a tender chicken wrap. Available Sunday to Wednesday, from 12pm to 3pm. Watch the new Brad Pitt movie at the top of the Burj Khalifa

We don’t really need a reason to visit the Burj Khalifa, but seeing a screening of the latest Brad Pitt doesn’t hurt. The Bullet Train will be making a stop at the world’s tallest building for a special show. The action-packed film sees Brad play the unlikely assassin Ladybug, as he tries (with horrific as well as hilarious consequences) to fulfil his latest mission.

Celebrate World Oyster Day 

Whether you love to slurp or shuck, the best time to do it is on World Oyster Day. At the Dibba Bay farm shop in Dubai, you can try local oysters for AED 8 from 12pm to 10.30pm.
