Concerts are plentiful in the capital, and 2026 is already shaping up to be special. And this time, Abu Dhabi is gearing up to welcome Turkish pop sensation Tarkan, who’s officially bringing his global star power to Yas Island.
Taking place on 17 April 2026, Tarkan will take over Etihad Arena for a night that promises big hits. Expect a show packed with nostalgia, dance-floor favourites and the charisma that’s made him a legend across generations.
For the unversed, Tarkan is the name that changed the course of contemporary Turkish pop. He burst onto the scene in 1992 and quickly became a household name worldwide. His debut album Yine Sensiz was an instant success, with follow-up albums like Aacayipsin and Olurum Sana, cementing his status as a pop phenomenon.
With more than 15 million albums sold, Tarkan’s hits include “Simarik,” “Sikidum,” “Kuzu Kuzu,” “Dudu,” and “Yolla.” He’s sold out shows at the Volkswagen Arena in Türkiye, as well as venues like Barclays Arena in Hamburg and The O2 in London. Now, he’s heading to Abu Dhabi.
Tarkan is no stranger to the UAE. He first performed in Dubai in 2006 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre — now known as The Agenda — and was spotted there again in 2025. He was also spotted at Atlantis, The Palm earlier that year. But this upcoming show is a big one, marking his first-ever performance in Abu Dhabi, and anticipation is already high.
