The exciting Musandam Zipline experience stretches 1,800 metres.

It’s time to get carried away with Oman’s Musandam Zipline. Guinness World Records have declared it as the longest zip wire over water. Opened by Oman Adventure Centre, it stretches a whopping 1,800 metres. So, if you’re after an amazing adventure, we dare you to try this new experience.

Oman Adventure Centre’s zipline is located in Khasab in the enclave of Musandam. The recently opened tourist attraction takes riders from Jebel Fitt to Atana Khasab Hotel while riders reach speeds of 80 kilometres per hour.

If you can keep your eyes open, the zipline offers jaw-dropping views of the coast of Whilayat of Khasab, from Khor Qadi to Mokhi. Riders can also spot cruise ships, yachts and lush landscapes, from the mountains to the ocean.

The entrance to the Musandam Zipline is at the base of Jebel Fitt, and a drive up to Jebel Fitt Street will bring you to Oman Adventure Centre. The centre is a new development supported by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. The aim is to create thrill-seeking tourism experiences. Plenty of developments are in the works, including new biking trails and hiking paths.

Entrance into Oman has also become a whole lot easier. Oman announced new visa rules for more than 100 countries, and visitors can stay tourist free for up to 14 days. Plus, visitors can apply for a one-month extension, which costs OMR 20.

Oman Adventure Centre’s zipline costs RO18 for a single ride and RO25 for two. The centre is open daily from 9am to 4pm.
