The Dubai Fountain is undergoing a major renovation.

Dubai’s reputation as a global travel destination needs no introduction, and few landmarks capture that magic quite like the Dubai Fountain. Set against the glittering backdrop of Burj Khalifa, this world-famous spectacle has been captivating visitors since 2009 with its gravity-defying choreography and soundtrack of international hits. But for now, the dancing waters have temporarily paused.

Currently undergoing a major revamp, the Dubai Fountain is expected to return with an upgraded performance in September, just in time for the cooler season. The planned renovations promise enhanced sound, sharper lighting, and even more dazzling water displays.

But while the fountain is on a break, Emaar has no intention of letting the magic fade. In its place, a massive 400-metre LED screen is being installed along the promenade. Featuring immersive visuals and dynamic content, it’s designed to keep the atmosphere lively, and the crowds engaged, ensuring that Downtown Dubai remains a magnet for tourists and residents alike.

And of course, the beautiful Burj Khalifa light shows continue to illuminate the skyline, so there’s still plenty of spectacle to enjoy.

24 hours in Dubai Dubai Fountain

Over the years, the world’s tallest performing fountain has been attracting thousands of visitors daily, wowing them with brilliant water displays synced to music tunes. Be it a classic Arabic song, a Bollywood party anthem, Titanic’s iconic score by Celine Dion or Baby Shark, the Dubai Fountain has always delivered an unforgettable show. When it returns, expect an even bigger, brighter comeback.
