Emirates Red Crescent is the official medium to donate to the cause.

The UAE is a melting pot of diverse cultures and nationalities. This harmonious coexistence has given birth to a strong sense of community and solidarity among its residents. The UAE has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting those in need, both locally and globally. Now, the country is once again coming together to launch the Compassion for Gaza campaign, an initiative to provide aid and relief to the people of Palestine.

The Compassion for Gaza campaign, as the name suggests, is a testament to the UAE's unwavering support for those facing adversity. Its primary goal is to express solidarity with children and families in Palestine, offering them a glimmer of hope in their challenging circumstances, and providing them with relief efforts.

If you're a resident of the UAE and you want to lend a hand to the Compassion for Gaza campaign, head over to the official Emirates Red Crescent site. The donation will be used to support relief efforts in Gaza, and provide assistance to those in need. Every dirham counts, making a significant impact.

Much like the Emirates Red Crescent, the World Food Programme is also collecting donations. They are also present on the ground to provide food relief to the people affected in Gaza. You can head on over to the WFP website to make your donation.

UNICEF has also urged people to lend a helping hand. Residents can log on to the UNICEF website and share their donations. These proceeds will help UNICEF buy material that is needed on the ground to aid the people of Palestine.

Apart from collecting online donations, UAE residents can also volunteer or share food or winter packages to help those in Palestine. Warehouse A1 at AlSerkal Avenue in Dubai is collecting food, hygiene and winter packages for the people affected by the tragedy in Gaza. They are accepting the likes of canned food and other non-perishables such as rice, flour, lentils and sugar. Towels, sanitary napkins, baby diapers and other toiletries are also required on the ground. Fleece blankets, jackets for adults and children, sleeping bags and tents are also being collected.

Malls across Dubai such as Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira and many others also have donation boxes on site to make the collection of funds and needed items more convenient. Emirates Red Crescent branches are located in Al Quoz, Umm Ramool and Al Garhoud.

In Abu Dhabi, you can drop off your donations at the ERC Headquarters in Capital Center and ERC branches in Zayed Sports City, Al Dhafra, Mussafah, the tent near Carrefour on Airport Road, Marina Mall, and Bani Yas. Ajman’s ERC Headquarters in Meshairef and City Centre Ajman are also collecting donations. Other ERC Headquarters across Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain are also accepting donations.

The collection points are also in need of volunteers to organise and pack the boxes that need to be sent to Palestine. So if you wish to volunteer across these multiple sites in the UAE, you can get in touch with Dubai Cares.

On 15 October, residents gathered at Abu Dhabi Ports Hall to pack relief boxes which will be sent to the people of Gaza. The proceeds will provide people with food, medical supplies, toiletries, and other items that may be required on the ground. Likewise, Dubai residents got together on 21 October to pack donation boxes and the same was followed on Sunday, 22 October.

The Compassion for Gaza campaign is a shining example of the UAE's commitment to global solidarity and humanitarian support. And the residents of the country are leaving no stone unturned in helping people affected by atrocities. You too can join the cause and pledge your support.
