There’ll be Christmas markets, carols by candlelight and a tree-lighting ceremony.
Have you been wishing you could revisit the Dubai Expo? Well, Christmas has come early, as you can return to the site for delicious dining experiences and an exciting Christmas-inspired experience. Expo City Winter Wonderland runs from Saturday, 6 December to Wednesday, 31 December 2025, and transforms the site into a festive, family-friendly experience.
Expo City Winter Wonderland spans the Mobility District, the water feature and Al Wasl Plaza. The area will be home to chalet-style Christmas markets, traditional fairground games, a letter-to-Santa station and pine trees. Plus, there’ll be plenty of ways to get merry, as there’ll be hot chocolate, mince pies and, of course, mulled drinks.
Add some sparkle to the season, and head down for the tree lighting ceremony. The glittering 52-foot Christmas tree is a must-visit sight, as it is expected to take centre stage in the Al Wasl dome. Plus, there are nightly holiday-themed projection shows.
Expo City Winter hosts plenty of Christmas events, including a revamped version of the popular Carols by Candlelight concerts from 20 to 24 December. There will also be New Year’s Eve Celebrations on 31 December, with two countdowns: one at 9pm for families, so the little ones can still make it to bed without missing out on the celebrations and the midnight fireworks.
Winter Camps are also expected to be announced for little ones aged between six and 12 years old. However, it’s not just kids that are catered for, but four-legged friends are welcome, too. The dog-friendly destination has designated stations offering complimentary bowls of water, dog treats and waste bags.
Winter City will open from 2pm to 10pm daily. Entry is AED 50 for adults and free for children five years and under and people of determination.
