UAE’s Marwan Shakarchi creates a fun addition to the logo.

British fashion brand Fred Perry and the UAE’s Marwan Shakarchi have created a cool collaboration. The classic Fred Perry polo T-shirt has been redesigned with a fun and funky logo. So, if you’re after the limited-edition collection, here’s what you need to know.

Fred Perry is famous for its T-shirts emblazoned with the iconic wreath logo. In the new collection, Marwan has added to the logo with a lightening and cloud motif. The T-shirts come in black and white, with logos on the back and front.

Marwan explains: “Over time, I have learnt how the cloud challenges the status quo and public messaging. It’s taken on a life of its own, resonated with people in their own personal way and created a platform to ask questions.

“When Fred Perry asked me to work with them on a collection, I felt nostalgic. The cloud was born in London, and when I think of Fred Perry I think of London. I explored iconography for this collection which not only reflects the Fred Perry aesthetic but amplifies the messaging of Myneandyours. I hope you all feel what I feel when I wear one of these shirts.”

Marwan first started making stickers in 2008. He is behind the brand Myneandyours, and has created artwork around the world. His work ranges from a mural project in Lisbon, Portugal, to Lexus artwork on the car.

Fred Perry started in 1952. Founded by the British tennis player, Fred Perry, it specialises in sports clothing. In the 1960s, it became popular with youth culture and mods. One of the most popular items are the T-shirts, which have been spotted on celebrities including Amy Winehouse, Gwen Stefani and Paul Weller. Plus, the brand even featured on James Bond in the film Thunderball
