The Last Man In The World: 4 September
When Kamal (Ayman Mansour) reads an ancient Egyptian spell and a strange curse wipes out every man on earth – except him. Thrust into a world run entirely by women, he must navigate an upside-down reality with absurd, often comic consequences. The ensemble includes Bayoumi Fouad, Mai Kassab, Mohamed Mahmous, Entezar, Hamza El Aili and Lobna Ezzat. Expect a playful blend of humour and fantasy that probes gender dynamics.
The Conjuring: Last Rites: 5 September
The final chapter of the hit horror franchise reunites Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Set against the 1986 Smurl haunting, the case twists into demonic possession and poltergeist activity that threatens their daughter, Judy (Mia Tomlinson). With Ben Hardy, Tony Spera and more, it mixes emotional stakes with nerve-jangling scares.
Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale: 12 September
The new Downton Abbey film closes the Crawley saga with a 1930-set, big-screen farewell. Expect a stately swirl of scandal and sentiment as Lady Mary faces a very public crisis and the family confronts financial strain that will test duty, legacy and the next generation’s grip on the estate. The film leans into nostalgia, threading in a poignant tribute to the late Maggie Smith while reuniting the core ensemble for one last bow.
The Long Walk: 12 September
Stephen King’s dystopian endurance thriller is brought to life by director Francis Lawrence. The Long Walk is a brutal, state-sanctioned contest where teenage boys must keep walking or be executed, with only one “winner” promised freedom. Expect grim, propulsive tension, road-movie minimalism, and a focus on psychology over spectacle as the pack thins and the rules turn sadistic.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey: 19 September
An enchanting romantic fantasy starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell as strangers who, at a friend’s wedding, are pulled into an otherworldly trip through their past by a mysterious GPS. With Kevin Kline, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Billy Magnussen and Hamish Linklater, it explores memory, love and second chances with whimsy and heart.
Him: 19 September
Tyriq Withers plays Cameron Cade, a rising American football star whose career derails after a brutal fan attack on the eve of the NFL. Taken under the wing of his idol, quarterback Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), Cameron descends into ritualistic drills, cult-like control and chilling visions. A psychological thriller where sports ambition collides with the supernatural.
One Battle After Another: 25 September
Written and directed by BAFTA winner Paul Thomas Anderson, this genre-bending action-comedy with a political edge stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson, an ex-revolutionary who reunites with old allies—Sensei Sergio (Benicio del Toro), Perfidia Beverly Hills (Teyana Taylor) and strategist Deandra (Regina Hall)—for a daring rescue. Expect fiery set-pieces, dark humour and reflections on activism and family.

Chaos escalates after the mid-season reveal, with outcasts freed and new threats circling. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday, with whispers of a Lady Gaga appearance adding to the intrigue.
The Paper: 4 September 2025
The Paper, a spinoff series from The Office, swaps Scranton’s sales floor for a struggling Ohio newsroom. Shot in the same deadpan mockumentary style, it trails a scrappy staff trying to keep a legacy newspaper alive amid click metrics, small-town politics and comically bad management fixes. Expect bone-dry humour, awkward meetings, and newsroom chaos, with Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore leading the ensemble and an appearance from Office alum Oscar Nuñez to keep things delightfully messy.
Task: 7 September
Mark Ruffalo leads as FBI agent Tom, tasked with dismantling a wave of violent robberies orchestrated by Robbie (Tom Pelphrey). With Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, and Martha Plimpton, the series promises a taut, emotionally charged cat-and-mouse thriller.
Only Murders In The Building: 9 September
The new season of Only Murders in the Building brings Charles, Oliver and Mabel back to the Arconia with a fresh case: the suspicious death of beloved doorman Lester. Their sleuthing collides with extreme wealth as a trio of eccentric billionaires, played by Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Logan Lerman, set up a satirical whodunit that skewers power, vanity, and moneyed Manhattan.
The Girlfriend: 10 September
Adapted from Michelle Frances’ bestseller, this six-part psychological thriller follows Laura (Robin Wright), whose life unravels when her son introduces his seemingly perfect partner, Cherry (Olivia Cooke). Suspicion grows, and trust fractures.
The Morning Show: 17 September
Set nearly two years after the events of Season 3, the newsroom navigates the fallout of the UBA-NBN merger. Deepfakes, conspiracies and corporate spin challenge the truth at every turn.
Black Rabbit: 18 September
Jude Law and Jason Bateman star as estranged brothers in New York’s high-stakes nightlife. Jake runs The Black Rabbit, a buzzy restaurant-lounge, while Vince’s debts draw them into dangerous territory. A character-driven thriller about loyalty and ambition.
Steve: 19 September
A Netflix drama led by Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy. Set in the mid-90s and adapted from Porter’s novella Shy, it follows a pivotal day at a last-chance reform school, where headteacher Steve fights to save the institution while confronting his own mental health.
