March is shaping up to be a strong month for screen time, with everything from family-friendly adventures to edge-of-your-seat horror and glossy crime dramas. Whether you’re heading to the cinema for a big-screen fix or settling in for a boxset night at home, here’s what to watch across Netflix, cinemas and streaming platforms this month.
Cinema
Hoppers: 19 March
Starring Jon Hamm, Piper Curda, and Bobby Moynihan, this Pixar original tells the story of an animal lover who uses technology to place her consciousness into a robotic beaver. She begins to uncover mysteries in the animal world that are far beyond her wildest dreams.
Project Hail Mary: 19 March
Protagonist and science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship far away from home with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As his memory begins to return, his mission unravels to solve the riddle of a mysterious substance that’s slowly killing the sun. He must reference his scientific knowledge and unusual ideas to save planet Earth, but an unexpected friendship suggests he may not be alone after all. The all-star cast further features Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce and Ken Leung.
The Strangers – Chapter 3: 19 March
In this ‘Strangers’ franchise finale, the survivors face thrilling new threats from murderous, masked strangers. Secrets emerge, plunging their lives into real danger as the lines between reality and impending doom threaten their survival. The cast features Richard Brake, Madelaine Petsch, Janis Ahern and more.
Reminders of Him: 19 March
After a perfect day out with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes a grave error that lands her in jail. Seven years into the future, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming to build up her life again and reunite with her daughter, Diem, with whom she has no relationship. When Diem’s grandparents refuse to let Kenna see her daughter, she finds surprising empathy and an even deeper energy with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers). As their hushed romantic relationship develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna to inevitable heartbreak and, hopefully, a second chance.

A sad and lonely Frankenstein (Christian Bale) travels to Chicago in the 1930s to ask the pioneering scientist Dr Euphronious (Annette Bening) to create a life companion and bride for him. When they revive a murdered young woman, The Bride (Jesse Buckley) is born, and what happens after that is beyond what either of them could have imagined…
Bershama: 19 March
When a supervisor dies mid-test during a high school exam, the students try to hide it, hoping to cheat instead. Except for a small roadblock…nobody knows the answers. The class consists of a top student intent on staying moral, the mayor’s stupid son who needs to pass at any cost, a dancer in need of a diploma to work abroad, a 60-year-old woman chasing a pension boost, and a former criminal dying to pass so he can get married. This Arabic-language movie sees hilarious schemes and constant chaos, starring Hesham Maged, Hatem Salah, Mostafa Ghareeb, and more.

Young Sherlock: 4 March (Amazon Prime Video)
Another Guy Ritchie venture, Young Sherlock, is an action-packed mystery that tells the origin story of the world’s greatest detective. When a charismatic and youthful Sherlock Holmes meets James Moriarty, he finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation that threatens his freedoms. Set in Victorian England and travelling abroad, the series will show the early antics of Sherlock, yet to become Baker Street’s most iconic resident. This world premiere stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Dónal Finn, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons and Colin Firth.
Ghost Elephants: 8 March (Disney+)
This world premiere follows Dr Steve Boyes, a conservation biologist and National Geographic Explorer, who has been searching for a mysterious herd of Ghost Elephants in the highlands of Angola. From the revered director Werner Herzog (“Grizzly Man”), Ghost Elephants follows Boyes on an iconic journey as he embarks with some of the world’s best trackers in pursuit of an animal long believed to be a myth.
Louis Theroux Inside the Manosphere: 11 March (Netflix)
This new documentary on Netflix is Louis Theroux’s first feature-length work for the streamer. It follows him to Miami, New York, and Marbella to meet influencers and content creators at the extreme end of the Manosphere. The film explores how key figures, including Harrison Sullivan (AKA HS Tikky Tokky), Myron Gaines, Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (AKA Sneako), Justin Waller and Ed Matthews, are reshaping young men’s mindsets around masculinity and resurging the global men’s rights movement. The documentary sees Louis immerse himself in their world, familiarising himself with their lingo, lifestyles, POVs and the perspectives of the women in their lives.
Scarpetta: 11 March (Amazon Prime Video)
Scarpetta brings Patricia Cornwell’s legendary literary character to life in this thrilling series starring Nicole Kidman as Dr Kay Scarpetta. With refined skills and a steady hand, this Doctor is determined to serve as the voice of victims, reveal a serial killer, and prove that her career-making case from 28 years ago wasn’t for nothing. Set against the backdrop of modern forensic investigation, the show goes beyond crime scenes, delving into the psychological complexities of perpetrators and investigators, creating a multi-faceted thriller. The cast features Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Rosy McEwen, Amanda Righetti, Jake Cannavale and Hunter Parrish.
Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special: 24 March (Disney+)
This Disney+ Original is a much-anticipated world premiere celebrating the legendary series that defined a generation, exactly 20 years after its Disney Channel debut. It will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will feature an exclusive, in-depth interview with Miley Cyrus, hosted by podcaster Alex Cooper. Viewers will also be treated to never-before-seen archival footage, with some of the sets from “Hannah Montana” brought back to life, including the Stewart family living room and the Hannah Montana closet.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man: 20 March (Netflix)
New on Netflix this month is a return to the world of Peaky Blinders. Set in Birmingham in 1940, amidst the violence of WWII, Tommy Shelby returns from a self-imposed exile to face his most intense reckoning yet. With the future of his family and the country on the line, Tommy must confront his own demons and choose whether to face his legacy or burn it all down forever. Cillian Murphy returns as the iconic Tommy Shelby in this epic feature film directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight. The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan and Stephen Graham.
