The hit reality show returns to the Middle East.
Do you believe in love at first sight? The Netflix series Love is Blind asks if love is truly blind. The reality show has had contestants from Brazil, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Now, it’s returning to the Middle East and will be matchmaking couples in the UAE.
Rooted in the region’s values and traditions, the social experiment explores whether love can truly transcend appearances, as participants navigate vulnerability, commitment, and the realities of building a life together when the walls finally come down. The regional adaptation of Netflix’s global dating format returns following an Emmy nomination for its first season, and here’s what to expect.
Love is Blind started in 2020 and became a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series follows men and women who are looking to get engaged and married. The catch: they’ve never physically met and have only spoken to each other from behind a wall. The show follows them as they form a deep connection before meeting in real life.
Love is Blind Habibi brings the popular format to the Middle Eastern market. The series is broadcast in Arabic and brings together prospective partners from the UAE. The show is presented by famous married couples. In the United States, it is Nick and Vanessa Lachey. In the United Kingdom, it is Matt and Emma Willis. For its second season, Love is Blind Habibi will be presented by celebrity couple Wissam Breidy and Rym Saidi.

Following Love is Blind, there have been successful couples. In the American version of the show, the successful couples include Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton; Amber Pike and Matt Barnett; and Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah. Plus, the first American Love is Blind baby came courtesy of Bliss Poureetezadi and Zack Goytowski.
Dubai-based reality shows have proven popular for Netflix. In addition to Love is Blind: Habibi returning for a second season, a fourth run of Dubai Bling has also been announced by the streaming service.
